Description

Tallahassee-based client seeks a Construction Accounting Specialist. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience working in a construction or manufacturing environment. While a degree is not required, relevant experience and expertise in construction accounting and payroll are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly & Bi-Weekly payroll processing, including entering hours/time by job by person

• Processing payments and filing forms for payroll taxes

• Processing truck allowances and other reimbursements

• Handling accounts payable processing, which includes entering invoices and making payments

• Preparing AIA pay applications for construction management contracts

• Selecting invoice payments to pay based on customer payments

• Communicating with subcontractors regarding submission of pay applications and payments

• Displaying above-average Excel skills

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years experience in a Staff Accountant position or similar role.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Demonstrated knowledge and working experience with General Ledger.

• Familiarity with Payroll processes and systems.

• Experience with Sage 300 accounting software preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data privacy standards.

• Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
