Robert Half Risk Analyst in Glen Allen, Virginia

Description We are seeking a Model Risk Specialist to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role primarily focuses on supporting the implementation and execution of the Model Risk Management (MRM) framework as part of the second line of defense. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing model risk and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

• Independently conduct model validations, presenting results and recommendations to business partners and senior management.

• Monitor the status of model validation findings and facilitate their resolution.

• Periodically assess model performance results.

• Maintain MRM Policy and Standards by ensuring their operational soundness, effectiveness, and compliance with applicable regulations.

• Design risk-based tailored governance processes related to classification of models findings, etc.

• Collaborate with the ERM System Support team to establish efficient MRM workflows and process automation, including building robust reporting & analytics capabilities.

• Manage the enterprise-wide model and non-model tool inventory, including the model documentation library.

• Maintain the Validation Periodic Review and other schedules.

• Develop and nurture strong working relationships with business partners.

• Interact with regulators as needed and maintain a working knowledge of Federal and State banking laws and regulations. Requirements • Proficient in business analytics and strategic planning

• Demonstrated skills in policy and procedure formulation

• Strong background in project management and implementation

• Exceptional proficiency in management and leadership skills

• Proven ability to conduct thorough research and review

• Experience in compliance and regulation practices

• Excellent skills in documentation and reporting

• Knowledge in the use of Python for data analysis and forecasting

• Proficient in operations and progress monitoring

• Demonstrated skills in workstation support and system design

• Experience in conducting audits and ensuring adherence to practices and methods

• Ability to perform quarterly reviews and adjustments as necessary.
