Description If you're looking for work in the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing field, Robert Half is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. Problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment may succeed this Desktop Support Technician role. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a permanent opportunity based in the Odessa, Texas, area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Interact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions
Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals Requirements
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
Demonstrated knowledge of Hardware Troubleshooting
Basic Network Troubleshooting experience preferred
IP address management experience preferred
Desktop administration experience highly desired
Active Directory experience
Proficiency in Basic Network Troubleshooting
Adeptness in hardware & software installation
3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
